OFFICIAL Washington vs. Iowa Game Thread

Iowa D is legit and that is not unusual. The only way to beat Iowa is to have a lot of offense.

I’m not a Fisch hater and he has cured the stupid penalty thing. And overall the play calling is not bubuschka bad.
BUT….at critical moments he shits the bed. And that nervousness in the red zone is a team killer.

Like my jr high coach said. “ the end zone is like panties, boys. Love to be able to see it, love the look of it, but if you don’t get it it don’t mean shit.”
Even with the loss to coug and Rutgers, the team looked the part.
This game, they look like a team of FCS transfers with no continuity and weak lines.
Yeah. Injury to no depth OL was the straw.

There's nothing fraudulent about Fish. The talent, scheme, metrics, and effort are all mostly there, surprisingly. This is a first year program with first year problems that's gonna be fresh AF in 25/26. I'm convinced.
Not many first year coaches have a great time. Show me the vision and I'm happy. This is the mulligan year. I'm not disappointed.
Might be Demond time though.
He ain't deboner, that's the issue.
College football ain't 3-4 year rebuild project anymore.
Deborah lost to UCLA and ASU and we screeched.
Deborah lost to Vanderbilt and might lose to SC.
First year coaches have first year problems pretty much always. This game snowballed but it's not the blowout it appears. We simply have whiskey dick. Just need a little less whiskey.
2022 team >> 2024 team and not even close.
If you think fisch is going to win us 10 games by year 3, you are on denial or just blind.
DeBoer had the bullets. Petersen vets, Penix, etc. He still lost to ASU and UCLA. Had a great Oregon win over a fellow first year coach and nice Alamo Bowl victory over a Texas team without Bijan, great. Year 2 was the shit, but he could have lost most every game rather easily. I'm still not sure KD is a great coach. He walks the line constantly.
Fish replaced 21 starters and 51 players in year 1. There's no comparison here.
My leash extends till year 2. Winning every game by the metrics in year 1 in this situation is pretty impressive, imo. 7-0 baby. I'm gonna get that metric natty shirt.

My bad. Losing starting LT on no depth Oline is a recipe for winning.

deboner convinced dudes to stick, fisch failed.
deboner brought in Penix and made him Heisman runner up, fisch brought in Coleman and is under using him.
Give fisch year 2?
JFC.

7 games to get to 3 losses
Took DeBoer two years
DeBoer didn’t have to travel 5 miles to play a tuff midget Coog QB at Safeco field, DeBoer didn’t have to travel across the country to play the best Rutgers team since 1860, DeBoer didn’t have to face challenging complex offenses like Iowa.
