Official UW vs. Hawaii Game Thread

IrishDawg22

New Fish
When: Saturday, August 30th - 7:30 PM PST

Where:
Aloha Stadium, Honolulu, Hawaii

TV: CBS Sports Network - Comcast 412 & 633 (HD), DirecTV 221, Dish 158, Wave 400 & 161 (HD)

Radio: Hawaii ESPN 1420, Seattle KOMO AM 1000 & FM 97.7. You can also catch the Husky Honks sponsored by SSBIAFF on KJR AM 950.

2013 Season: UW 9-4 (11-2 when plugged into Sark's Season Modifier) Hawaii 1-11 (7-5 SSM)

History:

1938: UW 53 - Hawaii 13
1973: UW 7 - Hawaii 10
2007: UW 28 - Hawaii 35
2010: UW 40 - Hawaii 32

Who to Watch - Hawaii:

RB Joey Iosefa - This kid is a load at 6' 245 lbs. But don't let his size fool you because Iosefa is a superb athlete with great hips. He only played in four full games last year averaging 31 carries for 146 yards. If Norm ChowFS has any interest in saving his job, he should make sure this guy touches the ball 30+ times.

DL Beau Yap - He led Hawaii in both TFL and sacks. With the 'Bows switching to 3-4 under new DC Kevin Clure (former Utah St assistant), they will try to move Yap around similar to how UW will use Hau'oli. Yap is a high motor guy who also happens to be a superb athlete with great hips.

Familiar faces:

Jeremy Castro - for the closet TBS guys on the board
Taz Stevenson - there won't be a dry eye in the house when he tackles Cooper.
Dee Maggitt - local Lakes legend

NCAA 15 Xbox Simulation: Fuck you Ed O...geeks on the net updated the rosters and they are not going to pay you shit.

UW 31 - Hawaii 13

Prediction:

UW 41 - Hawaii 10

Jeff Lindquist 17-22 235yds 2 TD 8 carries for 52yds 1 TD
Dwayne Washington 23 carries for 141yds 1 TD
Lavon Coleman 11 carries for 64 yds
1 defensive or S/T TD

I don't have access to a TV where I am. Is anyone going to stream the game online?

I don't have access to a TV or the Internet and I'm completely blind. How can I watch the scrimmage?

Head to Husky Stadium; At least you could hear the action. Be sure to have someone drop you off at the RAM for their Ribs 'n Rickshaw deal.

I'm on record as hating comcast, and I don't want to give them any more money than I already do -- and I don't get their sports package that includes the CBS Sports channel. I'd be willing to pay CBS Sports directly to watch it online (I can easily stream that through my Galaxy Phone to my TV) -- but so far I haven't found a way to pay CBS Sports directly for some kind of game time on demand viewing.

However, I did stumble upon this while searching for options. Might be one way to watch it -- time4tv.com

It does have some annoying popups, but it has a number of channels, and says the UW game will be on channel 12, I just found the Ohio State game on their channel 11.

It sucks that with all of the technology available -- it all gets fucked up by shitty companies like comcast whose business model is so fucktarded that I'd rather deal with an internet broadcast with popups than pay them to add the channel.

Cox sucks too, and I'm guessing Time Warner is bad too, since their only real competition is ugly TV dishes, and I'm sure they price fix w/ Fleenor's Douche Network and Direct.

Thanks for subscribing to Comcast.

Too much inertia to overcome to dump their shitty asses right now.. and their crooked SVPs know this. I'd have to find another provider for TV, and another one for Internet access -- so then I'd have to deal with two fucktarded companies rather than one.

For most things I can just use other resources... but college football is where it is a big pain in the ass.

You're projecting (by the way, writing doesn't really have sound).

As I already wrote, I'd be willing to pay cbs sports directly -- but don't want more money going to comcast.

I was going to debate whether you were too lazy to switch from Comcast or too poor to switch from Comcast, but then I remembered abundance.

No, but it might give you a clue as to why I'm here and why you suck at this.
