Disappointing. The offense sucked. The fake punt call was fucking horrible. Defense played well. Petersen, Smith, and the offense cost us the game.

Mostly agree, but in the 2nd half we threw on first down and ran on 2nd and 10 too often.
 
We would've won that game easily with Jake. Jake wasn't what he was built up to be, but Jake made god damn plays. We win that game by 10-17 with Jake (especially with Pete as coach).

Maybe. Jake might have thrown 3 picks though too. Miles sucked, but how is nobody talking about the OL? It's a veteran group except for Coleman Shelton and they got dominated all game long.
 
Christ. Losing a game where we win the turnover battle 3-0 and score a defensive TD. That's all kinds of awful.

This. I really felt good all game long until the 4th. I thought the offense would put together a drive or two and we'd win.
 
Boy.. you really got to work to get outcoached by Shaw... Did Peterson think this was a high school game?

Combine that with a QB that has a weak arm, is inaccurate, and creates his own pressure by leaving the pocket before anyone is actually around and you have a hot mess...

This sucks.

Defense played great. They must want to kick Peterson and Miles in the junk (if they have any).
 
This was one of the worst games I have ever seen. Penalties, fucking missed PAT and shitty special teams, horrific quarterbacking, terrible game management. Right now this team has not improved at all from last season. They might even be worse.

The truth hurts but ShawFS outcoached Petersen today. Lets see if the bye week produces a real pac-12 qb
 
It became clear to me that Peternorth had 0 faith in the offense in the 2nd half with all the FS risks he took.

Oline is bad. Miles is bad. Receivers are bad. Running backs are nothing special. Just completely anemic all around.

That's the FS thing. When you have no offense and a great defense, you play low risk and PUNT THE FUCKING FOOTBALL.
 
As bad as Miles was, the little things and coaching cost us the game. Gave up a huge return to Montgomery on the opening kick. Timu drops a pick 6. Ross' TD return gets called back. Missed extra point. Fucktarded fake punt leads to short field TD. If we held them to a FG, we'd only need 3 on the last drive.

I know we might have gotten lucky getting some turnovers and ShawFS red zone play calling, but we could have won that game.
 
I honestly can't believe how anyone can't see that Miles is horrible.

The OL wasn't 'good' - but a lot of that shit was just Miles scrambling into the lanes they were blocking people into unnecessarily.

The people here are smart--the only reason some of them refuse to see what a mental trash heap Miles is - is because of thinking too much about him before he played and talking him up.

Jake Locker was way fucking better. You can't even compare. Jake made plays. Miles tried a million times to throw it to opposing teams, but he is just god damn brain locked.

I don't have anything against him, I wanted him to be good, but he is terrible. And worse, he's bad at the stuff it's hard to get better at.

If you're rattled, can't feel the game and can't do anything right when you're just being asked to make 1 read (which is why he didn't see any of the open receivers) you're fucked.

He's not fast, he has no arm, he's not accurate, he made 3 good throws the whole game and about 10 that were bafflingly terrible. However, WORSE THAN ALL THAT, he got an intentional grounding on 3rd down with 45 seconds to go because he started panicking in the pocket when he didn't have to.

And he did that shit ALL FUCKING GAME.

Ugh. FMFYFE.

I don't like them either, but it's not a bad idea to use them sparingly. Just don't run a bubble screen every other play.
 
Stupid penalty on Ross's KR TD fucked us over.

This team is the same as last year. Penalties and horrid special teams.

Special teams cost us 11 points today. Ross's TD, Ty's 60 yard KR for a FG, and missed PAT.
