Well we now know that because Trump referred to the "Customs and Border Protection" agency as the "Border Patrol" and because they only encounter 1,700 illegal immigrants a day who are trying to enter the country and Trump said "thousands" that Trump is obviously a liar.

Since that 1700 number is an average certainly there are some days where that number is in the "thousands" but on average it's only 1,700 if you don't count any of the rejected people who try and enter legally, obviously Trump is a dirty liar.
 
That 1700/day was just for November. In FY 2018 there were 395,579 apprehensions (1084/day) which was a 21% increase over FY 2017. But, and this is the important part, it’s not 2000/day....

If you want some fun read that link from the NYTimes where they "fact" check Trump. They cite another one of Trump's statements as "misleading" when he said that Mexico is huge source of our illegal opiates. That statement is a statement of fact. But because a border wall wouldn't do much if anything to deter that, something Trump never claimed, it's "misleading" because most of these opiates come across a legal points of entry.

Funny how this standard for precise language never existed under Obama.
