Official Thirty Day Song Challenge Thread

Day 18. So many good choices - Rocket Queen, Rock n Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution, and When The Levee Breaks were all considered, but had to go with this. Listened to this album so much I wore out two cassette tapes. The classical intro leads into a main riff that rips the hair off your nuts

Day 19 Super pop-y song

well I don't have this but it fits the bill
I picked this cause my kid was in Alaska on a processing ship - he told me they would blast this on the speaker system for reveille

This one is in my collection

Day 19: Shout out to The Only Ones for penning the perfect pop song.

Shout out to the Balmoral Beach Boys for making Spin Magazine’s 1991 album of the year over Nevermind,

But my pick is the inventor of the category.

Not getting all the way caught up.

Day 18: Closing track

Ayreon - The Human Equation - great album

Day 19: Pop

I'm not ashamed.

Day 19 - Synth Pop

Uncle Al & Ministry weren’t always a heavy industrial strength metal band. They started out as a nice synth pop outfit.

Barely legal Christina > 20 something Britney. By a nose.
=10

Prime former Mickey Mouse Club members. Was subjected to these more time than I can count because my oldest was in the target demo at that point. Not afraid to bust out the Bye Bye Bye fist pump move at wedding receptions now either.

Day 20 - music snob

The Throbber is a man of the people. No snobbiness.

And I will fuck up anyone who hates on Garth and JT. FUCK THEM UP, I say.

Day 20: Snob day at the ballpark...

Paired with a cab that drinks like a merlot, stolen from the Eric Stratton playbook...

Also considered: Dave Brubeck, any Steely Dan song that is not Reelin’ in The Years or Do it Again...

Day 20...direct rebuttal to @Fishpo31

KOB is way too cliche to be music snob. Gotta go with something from the 2nd quartet. @DerekJohnson has no taste and hates this.

Duly noted, Yella...My disclaimer: growing up in E.WA, my closest exposure to jazz (pre-“University”) was my Pop’s Bob Wills records...late bloomer, still attempting to work through the “classics” on the jazz side...

Side note: Coming back from Italy last year, I listened to about six hours of Miles’ rehearsal tapes while Mrs. Fish was binge-watching reality shows...it was very intriguing.
