He's gonna propose a $5k first time homebuyer credit and a $10k seller credit for median and below priced homes. @pawz on a $400k sale, how much is the buyer typically eating on commissions, escrow, excise taxes, etc. ?
Buyers aren't paying commissions out of pocket. At least not yet. Class action lawsuits could be changing that.

Roughly 2.22% plus any negotiated broker compensation.

@BleachedAnusDawg is correct, the buyer broker compensation discussion is in the midst of a sea-change. A topic for another thread
