Don't know how the fuck the Pens were able to get to 2nd best record with the AHL defensemen they were using, but not having Letang will be a big enough blow to keep them from repeating.

I hate the Blackhawks, but gotta go with them to win it all. They'll be tanned, rested, and ready as the West is a shit show, while the East winner goes through a grind.

Caps choke in 2nd round and Ducks get upset again in 1st round. Like Geico it's what they do

Ducks/Flames is the 1st round series that will have the most game to game drama ... there will be a lot of physical play

On paper the Pens/CBJ series should be the best ... but I really don't trust the Pens D ...

As for my Caps pick I'm well aware of the track record of the President's Cup winners ... but the Caps have the best all around team and if they are going to ever win a Cup this is their best shot

I will add that playoff hockey is just behind March Madness and the NFL as the best post season league. MLB is good too, with pitching rotation strategy in full effect.

Basketball post season and College Bowl games can DIAF.

The playoffs are a completely different animal ... IF the Sharks stay/get healthy during the series they probably win ...

But the learning curve and lessons are often fast and the Oilers are very talented ... I'm still expecting a long series that could go either way
