Official Iran conflict game thread.

Iran (surprise!) broke the ceasefire and is firing on ships right now. At this point there really isn’t any coordination in the Iranian government and nobody to really negotiate with in Tehran.

Time to finish them off. They blinked and now it’s going down.

To be expected. At the government level, they’re a people that just cannot be trusted. They’re toddlers. You can offer the carrot but it’s always the stick that gets results.

Pound them into dust.

Really wish Trump would specifically tell the mullahs what the plan is
It's impressive the retards can ask the same 'what is the plan' question in so many different forms of ignorance. Maybe it's a translation issue.

How is opposing a war siding with the enemy? A tweet like this is no different than the cancel culture unleashed by the Democrats
Because they’re like the ladies here: they want it to go badly for the US so they can be right.

Every time an Iranian missile lands, it’s “see? I told you!” Packaged with the faux outrage and bleeding heart concern over US soldiers. Please.

The fans who noticed there was no game plan just aren’t loyal enough.
What 'plan' are you expecting?

They've fully expressed the military objective - in what military action have the combatants EVER shown their battle plans to the opponent? Or the public for that matter?

You act like this is some live stream that you get to look into the war room.

You don't.

We’re not prepared for any war that could achieve the shifting objectives you gals and Daddy keep poasting. You were falling all over one another to describe this as a short duration effort when this began. So was Daddy. None of you suddenly hawkish gals would have willingly started this war had you expected any meaningful resistance or disruption to your lives.

If it’s over, as Daddy keeps (wishfully) saying, it accomplished very little. If it’s not over, we either commit to it with some actual sacrifices, or we just dither in the region, pretending that the Iranian regime is going to magically disappear. You can’t even admit to yourselves that your stated objectives would require time and real sacrifice.

Iran is betting on the TACO trade. The regime understandably expects all it has to do is endure until you and Daddy tire of your adventure. Daddy effectively announced that at the outset. If/when we cut and run, we leave an emboldened and more militant Iranian regime in place. This little fiasco was poorly
conceived and poorly messaged.

So you have no answer to the question - what “plan” are expecting?

The United States signed a defense agreement with Morocco yesterday, which concerns the Strait of Gibraltar (the gateway between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic). Thus, in just over a year, the United States has fully controlled the world's four major maritime chokepoints:
GibraltarMalaccaHormuzPanamaI don't need to spell it out—everyone can see this is a carefully orchestrated strategy, and it feels a bit more reliable than the Belt and Road Initiative.

Just dumb luck. No planning.

Big Ern is struggling to see why the football is being spiked at our own 20 yard line. Essentially nothing has happened today. Donald J. Christ is posting misleading Truths, claiming victories where there are none, and moving markets on vaporware. Standard fare.

Iran has agreed to let some ships through until the ceasefire ends in a few days. Big deal. Hormuz remains nowhere close to normal 130 ship per day traffic. No deal has been reached and it's not close. The physical oil supply crunch still hasn't hit the globe and every day that Hormuz remains abnormal lengthens the inevitable impact.

Big Ern maintains that this debacle is still in its infancy. Cold is better than hot, but a lasting peace and deal are miles away. This could go hot again at any time.
You could’ve made that point in one sentence. Welcome to the Middle East.
