I see today Iran says "Trump is negotiating with himself." He's just lying as usual about progress. Iran is holding lots of cards. That's OK (lying your ass off) if you are making real estate deals but a bad idea for international warfare. I don't get what the route forward is. Invade with 2k or 3k ground troops and hope for the best?

Iran’s terms are completely unacceptable, as expected. They have the global economy’s balls in their fist and can squeeze as much as they like, and they know it. The rumored "negotiations" are laughable. There are no negotiations. These are empty words to sooth markets.

The options are American capitulation (unlikely) or ground troops (quite likely); there’s no middle ground. A clusterfuck authored by the world’s biggest morons. "End game" my foot. This is just getting started.

As far as oil is concerned, the gap between the physical market and the paper market is widening by the day. Supply chains are fucked. The mechanisms to keep WTI and Brent in check cannot and will not last.
