OFFICIAL Huskies-Bears Game Thread

After this weeeknd, is WSU still the team to beat in the Pac-12 North?

That's what Cougfan.com reported this week.

They are confused where this Kal team was last week over on the farm. Just tripping on their shoe laces letting the mutts win. Frustrated they can't get this kind of break.

I was about to call the offense a dumpster fire then they went 88 yards. Smith can call a great series but he's inconsistent, as is the UW offensive personnel.

Not much not to like so far. The defense continues to improve and gawd it's amazing to have playmakers on that side of the ball for a change. Baker will start creating some highlights of his own soon. Thompson, Shelton and Kikaha are like human highlight reels.

Feeling good. Just need to hold serve or close to it on offense. The D will eventually slip a bit.

Johnathan smith tells all the haters to fuck off

I don't hate Smith. I just think he needs to improve.

Doing well against the worst D in the Pac 12 is a pretty low bar.

Hey, i'm still a big critic of miles and even though we're up 28-0 i don't think he's done much overall. That being said, everyone on this board was complaining about getting mickens, ross the ball and getting them a chance to make plays. Well, this whole game has been fly sweeps, short passes, etc to get things rolling. People still aren't happy........we have a qb with a noodle arm, what do you all expect for the OC?

Christ dude. Give it a rest. Miles doesn't have an NFL arm. We've known that for over 2 years. A lot of college QB's are system QB's. He's far from the first QB with a weak arm.

Nobody thinks he is great, but saying he's only thrown short passes, etc, etc is fucking stupid. He can throw for 300 and people will still think he didn't play well. He only threw short passes, his WR's stepped up. He had a really good half. It doesn't mean he is a great QB, but stop downplaying everything he does.

Watching the replay of Shaq TD, and thinking of the called back INT: Budda is really fast. I wouldn't mind seeing him return a kick at some point.

13-17 for 181 with 3 TD's is a great half. I don't care how you do it or who it is against. It's good.

13-17, 181 yards, 3 TDs

That Stanford game was an aberration, Miles is a decent college QB that doesn't make FS decisions.

Put up that stat line @ Autzen and he's a great college QB.

Locker had an "NFL arm" and didn't amount to shit. Let Cyler develop under Pete and he might even improve his arm strength and deep accuracy someday.

It really sucks that there aren't older examples of college QBs with shitty arms who did well in college but didn't translate to the NFL.

He had a fine half. This is what he's shown so far against defenses of this caliber. He can throw most balls just fine. He needs time and he gets it against teams like Cal.

It's not a criticism. Goff is 10X the thrower that Miles is and look what he's done facing a good defense...couple of real nice throws but not playing winning football overall. He's thrown as many horrible balls as great ones and coughed the ball up three times.
