Ross just proved why he should stay at CB

Disagree, his hands are plenty good, he just lost that one. His issue at WR is he can't run anything besides a fly pattern or a bubble screen.

But in all seriousness, you're absolutely right about his skills as a WR (which I've also called out for months).

The trip to Tucson really opened my eyes about Ross as a CB. He's physical in his jams (surprisingly so for a guy that just moved to the position) and his combination of speed/quickness makes it almost impossible for a guy to get open when he's running with them. Like Sherman, Ross' experience as a WR gives him a unique knowledge of what WRs are going to run in certain situations and allows him to be in great position.

I'm sure that Ross could play in the NFL as a WR but to a certain degree I think he'll be JAG at that position. He has a chance to be a 1st round pick as a CB and have a lengthy NFL career.

I wonder what the lightbulb moment will turn out to be for Ross in realizing that he can become a very rich man playing DB for the rest of his life.

He will play CB. If you ever get a chance ask a player what they think of Brent Pease and you will know why.

I know that Pease is known as something between a hardass and a complete ass ...

But at the same time, the bottom line is whether or not he can make you better or not. If he's THAT bad at what he does, my guess is that he'll not be on the staff long term.

He had good WR's at Boise under Petersen. I don't care about a WR coach, but Jimmy Lake is a player favorite and Pease is the most hated coach on the staff. If he has a choice about who to deal with everyday, I doubt he's choosing Pease.

Not surprising.

Lake seems like a really good guy that is tough but fair in how he deals with players.

Every staff needs a hardass or two on it ... I would imagine that Pease is one of the hardasses on our staff.
