Why the FUCK do hotels always have the same number of decaf coffee packs as regular coffee packs in a room? Always 2 caffeinated and 2 decaf. That's bullshit.

Nobody fucking needs decaf waking up in a hotel room. Maybe slack jawed faggots but real men require straight black high octane caffeinated coffee to start their day. More than one fucking cup.

Get off my lawn, cheap ass hotel operators.

Sea-Tac.

What a shit show. Amazing how one person can clog up walking through a terminal with their Asian driving like weaving.

Hate this fucking place.

Leeching some free WiFi to make up for the $50 Costco hamburger lunch here.

Why the fuck can’t more airlines fly into/out of Payne Field.

As a cheap ass 30+ year hotelier, your lawn is nothing special.

Also, it is probably easier for the immigrant housekeepers to remember two and two. Now if you want something to bitch about hoteliers start with the concept of a resort fee (which I may or may not have been on the ground floor of that movement over 25 years ago).

Once, every other hotel chain copied us, we may or may not have raised our hotel room prices by the price of the resort fee and advertised there is no resort fee (a one year hit which meant no actual net increase in rates that year)..

My joy this week was conversing with the housekeepers asking for QUATRO caffeine. Decaf no bueno.

Thank god for Google Translate

SeaTac sucks. It is also massively oversaturated. A REAL second airport is going to be needed. Agree that Paine should be the spot.

The only airport in America that even comes close to the level of suck that is SEA is Boston Logan. And that’s a function of space. It’s just too small

SEAs suck is the people who populate it. Clueless. Just fucking clueless. No awareness of their surroundings. Put that with some really shitty design and lack of space is a recipe for suck.

Plus the Throbber is still pissed Ivars got the boot. Fuck the shitty chowder vendor that’s there now. So suck that I don’t even know its name.

Resort and destination fees are shit as fuck, pal. Curse the guy that came up with this idea.

I mean maybe if you're staying a 5 star resort with all of the amenities and you plan to do a lot on property dining, you can live with it. But holy fuck all it's lame when downtown boxes charge destination fees for a bunch of crap that most guests will never use. Just fucking charge the rate the market will bear and charge for internet for folks who aren't in your loyalty program.

Fortunately, the pricing transparency laws have made hotels have to show rate including the silly fees.

De-caffeinated covfefe makes no sense at all. I drink a lot more shitty N/A beer these days and can, at least, see the health benefit there. But what's the point of coffee with no caffeine?

my doctor has me converted to decaf because of blood pressure. The caffeine stimulant is no bueno for the blood. But, I still love the morning ritual of brewing a pot and sipping it on the patio in the sunshine.

Get a new doctor.

Actually the Throbber has been drinking mushroom coffee lately when the jitters become too much. Relatively the same taste as the morning cup of Joe. Not quite as much caffeine.

Agreed. Also out of hand are various government taxes and destination fees. Especially in places like Hawaii. I do not want to be fucking ($10, $20, $100) dollared to death (no longer nickel and dimed).

AI confirms my earlier claim that certain hotels in Hawaii were responsible for the abomnimation that is today known as resort fees. I was off a couple of years on my timing.

"Based on available records, the industry-wide shift toward mandatory resort fees began, in Hawaii, around 1997."

Fuck every one of the low end hotels that charge a resort fee and the stupid things they list to try to support the added charges. A rusty, conical cheese grater is not enough.

My most recent hotel issue is I feel like 60% of the time now when I go to check in the person gets on their 1988 PC and takes on the posture and energy and verbals that I don't have a room. Given I am ADHD and have done shit like booking wrong dates or location it freaks me out but then I always have a room, but 99% of the time I have it right, but they always freak me out. This seems to get more constant.

Sea Tac is a contractor charity. I've been involved in remodeling there since Gulf War 1
SeaTac seems to have the worst case I've seen recently of the precheck and Clear lines are just as bad as the regular lines. That whole thing is just a giant bullshit industry to me.

The SeaTac main dining area has not nearly enough places to sit. I don't think I've found a seat there in years and yeah what the fuck is there seafood fake Ivars fucking place?

Paine is elite and Bellingham for me is great but both barely have flights and are fucking expensive. Both also cut a lot of flights during Covid and then never brought them back. I love how many things did that in life.
