ATLANTA, Ga. - The third-ranked University of Georgia football team came up just short, falling 32-28 to No. 2 Alabama on Saturday evening in front of a capacity crowd at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga., in the Southeastern Conference Championship game. Georgia ends the regular season with an overall record of 11-2, which includes a 7-1 mark in league play, while Alabama improves to 12-1 and 7-1 in the SEC.

And fittingly, Tajh Boyd went out with a bang.

Boyd passed for 378 yards and five touchdowns in the final game of his career, leading Clemson to a 40-35 victory over Ohio State Friday night in the Orange Bowl at Sun Life Stadium.
