Just a year ago, our president with Blue-lips praised THE GAP, on newscasts everywhere, for raising their minimum wage to $10/hr. A year later the gap just shut 175 stores (1/4 of its stores) and cut 250 headquarter gigs. Socialism takes another wounded veteran. The capital hill store is closing FreeThomas, where are you going to shop?

Do you think that bad business decisions, overbuilding, more competition, and terrible products have anything to do with it? Or do you think everything that goes bad is because of liberals and everything that goes well is because of conservatives?

Really this is free market (i.e. conservative) principles at its best. Survival of the fittest.
 
If your business can't afford to pay its employees a living wage then you have a shitty business model and deserve to go out of business.

Any fucktard could pay his employees nothing and turn a profit. I don't know why people are so supportive of these business that can only survive by screwing their employees. Run your business better.

Exactly. Every smart business owner knows that paying a little higher wages (in most businesses) attracts higher talent and less turnover. Which means what? Lower cost of training and better customer service. But keep paying people minimum wage and see how that works out for you.

BTW, not one person in my small business makes minimum wage after the first 3 months and the vast majority make $15 plus an hour to start. You invest in us with time and we invest in you in raises.
