"Progressive" talk radio/podcasts go nowhere. Even leftards don't want to listen to barry. Remember Air America the left's answer to Rush Limbaugh and conservative talk radio? AZDuck went hyperbolic when it debuted in 2004 when in its opening week, it outdrew Rush in NYC. Then it was all downhill as leftards aren't really interested in actual facts on the ground and have the attention span of a gnat.

I’m confused on why you’re showing me this and who you think my ally is. Because if you’re saying it’s Obama then I’m doubly confused, as I’m fairly sure I have explained how US foreign policy fucked this up in 2014. Obama’s and Hillary’s foreign policy in regards to Russia was a disaster.
There’s even a picture of the exact moment that Russia realized that those they consider to be their main adversary is fucking stupid. The “reset” button, where they didn’t even use the proper Russian word for reset - they went with one that translates better as “overload”
I just find it interesting that the people screaming the loudest about supporting the Ukraine are the ones who sold them out

But as you say, these conflicts are decades old and ultimately between the two players
The West is happy as always to arm both sides
I opposed that war but was also of the “hey at least we’ll get rid of Saddam and they’ll have democracy” mindset. I still can’t judge the accomplishments or lack thereof because I don’t *understand* Iraq the way I do the US, Russia, and Ukraine. There’s a limit to how many cultures one can be familiar with before it becomes diluted. Of course the threshold is much higher for national/regional cultures compared to hobby cultures, etc. Some are not available unless you’re born into them. I won’t ever get to be a part of the Sentinelese society and thus truly understand the culture of killing missionaries and stranded fishermen as an extreme example.
The ones who backstabbed Ukraine are numerous in number. Many of the ones who did it were Ukrainian themselves, some are in Germany doing the opposite of screaming, some are in Russia and never bothered to go for the back. But I’m assuming you’re referencing Americans. All of the US Presidents since the fall of the USSR, and plenty of politicians, military officials, economists, journalists, etc deserve blame. Fucking Poland and Ukraine is a centuries old tradition among all European/American countries, it’s always been done regardless of political affiliation. It’s rarely fully understood outside of the region, might as well be me and Iraq.
My limited understanding is that Stalin et al forcibly sent millions (or a lot) of Russians to eastern Ukraine and created a Fifth Column. I don't think there was a large settlement of Russians sent to Poland.

No offense, but you may be making the mistake of believing the Obama cabal was just a bunch of bumbling fools and Putin took advantage of them. There are more dots to be connected and the corruption within the swamp in the United States is perhaps not something you're willing to admit?

TLDR: [/b]Yes, you’re correct on the re-settlement. Russification. It’s still a factor in today’s conflict. Both Ukraine and Poland are victims of geography, physical and geopolitical.
More in depth but still simplistic overview, if anyone is curious: [/i]
What used to be considered Ukraine was also bigger than what it is now. Not just your standard Soviet social engineering, but the lands needed to be repopulated. Why did they need to be repopulated? Ukrainians don’t love to give away free borscht unless it’s a great celebration. Stalin killed 5-7 million Ukrainians from 1931-33 in the genocide known as the Holodomor, a portmanteau that roughly translates as “murder by hunger” and then another 5-7 million in WWII and the Holocaust. Since Ukrainian farmers resisted communism and collectivization too much Stalin killed them and replaced them with more subservient Russians. They’re still a minority, even in Donbas. The language issue is a Russian propaganda success story, overblown by Western media to where I’m tired of answering questions from Ukrainians about it.
Crimea is different, that was wholesale bringing in Russians for the Black Sea fleet, and Russians retiring to it. At the expense of the 500,000 Crimean Tatars who got their own genocide, exiled to Uzbekistan where one third died before they even got there. The Crimean Tatars were the only Soviet minority not allowed to return to their homeland - until it became Ukraine when almost the entire remaining population of 300,000 returned. Since Russia took over they shut down the Tatar self government administration, tortured and killed some prominent leaders, and many (if not most) fled to Ukraine. Tatars don’t need to go to Russia, not when Russia comes to them.
As for Poland, the Soviet Union gave them parts of what was 50/50 Pole/German land for giving 50/50 land to Ukraine and Belarus. They shifted the borders, basically. Also deported a bunch of Poles. There’s a reason that former Russian/Soviet controlled republics joined NATO as soon as they could.
