Numbers and stuff

This team with this coach needs 3-4 legit DL, probably 2 OL starters, a TE, a RB, a WR and probably a CB away from being able to replicate Petersons year three. The only position groups that seem settled for next year are QB, LB and Safety and none of those are great.
if he’s not recruiting 3 ready to play tight ends 4 O lineman and 4 D - Linemen including 2 edges. He’s not serious

He says that by seeing ohio state and Wisconsins defenses that UW should pursue large rangey athletic defensive players. Not like a football coach should know that already

I was told that we have the best offensive trio in the Big Ten
The best trio was a lot of offseason natty style hyperbole but even now it's still not that far off.
Boston deserves a ton of credit for stepping up as one of the best WRs in the country, and I think he would put up even bigger numbers if we had a better OL and Demond was better at connecting with him.
Coleman is a completely fucking enigma and should be one of the best RBs in the Big 10. I have no clue what the deal is though. He was better last year with what supposedly was a much weaker offensive line and now he has a running QB to play off. If he's hurt basically all year again that's a major question about his NFL future, especially since he's always been a guy who doesnt' carry the ball a ton.
Demond is just as good as any QB in the Big 10 after Mendoza and Sayin. Not that it's a high fucking bar.
Coleman looks like he’s put on 20 pounds in eight weeks
I've thought the same. He's fat and slow, again.
Tough runner, but he was pretty overrated based on his body of work at this point.

he’s got a roll of fat over his belt. I know some chicks dig the dad bod, but when it’s your starting running back …

Think about it… If you take away the miracle comeback at Maryland, we are 0-8 on the road in Big Ten play.
0-8!

We need to keep Fisch to stabilize the program.
@data How may Big Ten coaches have gotten extended going 2-7 in road games? Obviously that 2nd one is a huge assumption.

To be fair, I remember what it was like losing to Cal and Utah and blowing an 18 point lead on the road to shit ASU in 2015 and the fanbases still mostly fluffed Petersen and made excuses for him, when he had very similar problems.
Everyone forgot about his 2 shit seasons because he went 12-1 the next year, so I could do Fisch that favor if he makes the playoffs next year, and Demond and the younger players take the next step.

But the problem is just how bad the offense has looked.
They put up 3 points on a 2-6 team. They were held scoreless through 3 quarters at Maryland, and needed a miracle to win that game. Only one score at Michigan.
The road performance in B1G play is the worst I've ever seen from a UW football team.
Could it get better next year? Maybe. But Fisch is as of now, not a good play caller, and the offense is the problem. It is wasting a generational UW defense.

The home vs road disparity is incredible.
Like, literally whatever they are doing in routines and prep, figure out how to do the total opposite.

Try anything at this point, with one road game left*.

*excluding the Sun Bowl I mean

This is not a generational defense.
I second this. They aren’t elite, or generational, but they are good enough that paired with just a good offense the Huskies should be 7-2 or 8-1. With a great offense they possibly could be undefeated catching Ohio state so early. This schedule has set up very nicely for UW to have a great record but the offense has smelled of rotten fish on the road and that doesn’t seem as though it will change.

Ohio State would have scored whatever they needed to. Not sure we’ve seen a decentoffense outside of that. USC would score on this defense and Oregon will too. They aren’t bad don’t twist. Not even close to great though.
