Problem is, its prolly not even the Indians demanding change. At what point is some entity going to step up and say "fuck your butt-hurt cunt, we're not cowering down to political correctness". Nobody has a dick. I'm serious. I worry that a lot of kids named Johnny sit down to pee, and have for the last quarter century. The same people voting for gay marriage.

Would I be against a new name? No, but I won't lobby and annoy people. It's not something to get passionate about

All the other name changes are pure political correctness. My high school changed its name in the 90's to appease these pussies until alumni threatened to withhold funds a yr or two later. Complete waste of time...

The earliest I can remember this nonsense is Stanford changing their name from the Indians to the Cardinals in '72 or '73. That place also went co-ed with several frats a few years later and pissed everybody off on the West Coast - think they followed Brown and couple other progressive Ivies on the East Coast.

When did this really pick up steam? I am just a caveman, I do not understand these PC concepts.

There's been so much PC bullshit in this area that I've lost perspective. When a local high school has to change their names from the Warriors to something gay (75k) because of racial sensitivity we have lost our soul. Nobody names their team something that sucks or they're making fun of unless its the WNBA.

I don't know if the Redskins is offensive or not. I know it has a shitpot of history and is meant as an homage not a slur.

I see the logical conclusion of this trend having Greenpeace rioting Miami's headquarters for them portraying dolphins as violent or Steve Irwin's family suing MLB for capitalizing on the Crocidile Hunters murderer for the Tampa Bay franchise. Hyperbole? Probably not in this fuckhole of a country we've become.
