Not Too Bad

Based on his time at Arizona and very brief time at UW it seems Judd has a good knack for identifying talent, developing it, and playing the TBS rankings game enough. Demond might give us a chance to do big things the next couple of seasons and UW will be in a great place if that happens, even if we won't be able to just sign TBS and portal classes every year that can keep up fighting for national titles automatically.

Based on most metrics, it seems Haener was the most dynamic QB Petersen ever had. UW would have had a ton of success had he come back with DeBoer even if he obviously wasn't Penix. I think Petersen's offensive shit was always kind of fucked up. Browning having a good career as an NFL backup points to that when at the point when he was a senior at UW we were scared to have him throw passes against teams like the Beav. Shitty WR recruiting under Pease was also to blame too.

Peterson’s last full class (2019) was absolutely nuts. Peterson’s offenses after the Smurf left were dysfunctional but his defenses were lights out. I do think if he didn’t flame out he would have eventually figured out the offense enough to win big, but we will never know.
 
There is no doubt that Petersen had the best defenses since James with Kwat. Unfortunately they failed when it mattered late in key games
Fortunately Kwat did the same at Texas when UW beat them twice
The game has changed because DeBoer won big games with great offense and a sketchy defense
He lacks the great O so far at Bama but kept the sketchy D

Was 2017 still Kwat calling plays or had Jimmy taken over by then? Pedo trucked the UW defense in the Fiesta Bowl.

I remember it rightfully seemed like they were trying to make anyone but SaQuon Barkley beating them and outside of the one 92 yard run, they did a decent job. Trace McSorley had some nice targets to throw to in hindsight - Daeshawn Hamilton, Mike Gesicki, and Juwan Johnson. UW had Myles Gaskin, a supposedly injured Pettis, and Peterman's broken offensive scheme.
 
I'll concede peak Penn St is 1b to the sqwad.
That team was better than this years team.
 
I sometimes forget we kept promoting Jimmy when we could have just let him take another gig and kept Kwit and the defense seemed to lose teeth every time Jimmy got promoted.
