Blackstone and Starwood have extensive SFR holdings they bought at auction during the boom time of foreclosures. In multiple states. They are holding them as rentals and will package as an IPO and sell off when the gain is large enough.

The idea of subsidizing these giants is laughable.

I agree that the fact that he is opposed to cronyism, sounds, on the surface, like a good thing, but I didn't have time to read his article deeper -- and after figuring out who he was -- didn't feel his credentials warranted making it worth my time.
