That's essentially what Hannity and Bill O'Reilly were talking about on Thursday. I couldn't remember exactly but O'Reilly was being the obedient Catholic and supporting the Pope's universal mission of peace or some such fuckery. Hannity (recovering Catholic) came back at him and pretty well slaughtered O'Reilly's argument that murdering mullahs don't deserve the love of the Lord when their express purpose is to kill others.

But the Mullah Death To America Bros do it every day here so not surprising.

We obviously aren’t going to be defeated militarily. But the problems with setting out on quick fix in Iran were obvious to anyone who knew anything about it. Enter Daddy, whose psychology is obvious and was easily manipulated by his pal, Bibi.

Iran’s regime merely needs to survive in order to notch a win. Continued fighting is a price they will bear. Continued fighting also serves Bibi—not Israel, but Bibi personally and politically. The only player who loses politically is Daddy, so the options are to cut and run or rebrand the war and escalate it in the face of ever growing domestic opposition—you “true believers” are becoming ever fewer.

As Schumpeter said about his own dire predictions about the future of capitalism, the fact the doctor predicts the patient’s death doesn’t mean that is what he is hoping for.
