I'm sure this 4-team playoff will be very profitable. It may produce some genuinely entertaining games. But it will never -- ever -- realize the goal of eliminating computers, excuses, and debates.
 
ESPN needs to stop acting like it rekindled the old days which they fucked up.

Old days: Good bowl games were on 1/1 or maybe 1/2. They were not all on one network. It was fine that way.

All the trash mid major teams got left out. A few of the really good ones made crap bowls.
 
Either go back to the way it was in the good ole days, or say fuck it and make it a 16 team playoff with no bowl games at all.

I used to get giddy when the bowl season started, but I haven't even made an effort to watch anything yet. It doesn't feel like excellence is being rewarded.

I wish I'd watched the overtimes of the Miami Beach Bowl. That was the only watchable bowl action so far.

I take that back, I was watching MNF countdown on espn2 and berman told me the rest of the action was moving to espn when he snaps his fingers and to change the channel, right when he snapped his fingers I switched over only to see that kid who got dropped leaking blood all over himself.

Missouri v. Alabama would have been a match up in the 16 team playoff

Georgia Tech v. FSU would have been a match up in the 16 team playoff

Arizona and Oregon would have been a match up on the 16 team playoff

Might as well watch the toilet bowl if you want to see Clemson v. ASU
