Nicknames in Seattle Super Sonics history.

Sockeyes was easily the best option. Very northwest. Great colors. Very ownable to Seattle. Subliminally violent. Instant mascot.
Naturally they fucked it up and went with Kraken a retread sacharine marketing trope - not originally northwest at all. Not ownable.
They did do a nice job with the Kraken logo, but the name and brand is just fucking childish. Wish there could be a do-over.
