Think below the surface ...

People know he is a great recruiter ... If he is known to be somewhere that alerts others and can reduce our chances ... particularly if we are going after someone off the radar or outside of our geographical area

Fair poont but give him credit he gets on the table at least could go miles later in recruiting this year may have been a foothold in Texas that we need regardless of who we get.
 
My whole point is that I feel they want a Texas presence if it pays off this year fuck yeah but if not they are only building towards it like Coach Pete says its the process.

I'm not disputing that putting Lubick in play down in Texas could be a very good idea not only this year but also in the upcoming years ...

My point is that the people that need to know where Lubick is know where he is
 
Think we have a chance at Coburn then we think originally a west coast kid who wants to be out here regardless of school.
 
Given that we generally don't hand out offers like drunken sailors ... I think it is fair to say that anybody that we extend an offer to there's more than just a passing interest at the time of the offer from both sides

Yeah I saw that quote too where he calls himself a "West Coast Guy". I just don't want to read too much into it and get my hopes up like a doog.

Yeah that's a good point, because "apparently" we also really like Bobby Brown out of Lamar HS, but he didn't get an offer, so he probably didn't reciprocate that interest.

Yeah I'm not sure 2019s In-State crop is any more than just okay (from what I've heard), so grabbing from Texas could be great. 2020 In-State going to be legit though.
