I miss America damn it!

I'm probably the only poster here who has tried to keep the cool, American car legacy going. You could be driving a Hellcat Charger with plenty of room for 4 and a large trunk. Hell, even a Durango SRT or a Escalade V would get a cool vote from me - the Escalade V screaming around Downtown DC a few week ago was a riot!
Instead, we're talking about fucking Toyotas.

Escalades are douchey AF.
People forget the Tundra is one of the most "American" made trucks on the road. Our Sequoia was made in Indiana.
I do like a the newer Z71 Tahoes. That's a nice looking ride that would be an extension of my personality.

I laffed. Probably get it from my grandpas, but I prefer to buy products that last a long time, unlike most of the planned obsolescence BS produced now. Plus, most of these new vehicles are plastic and look like dogshit. Fuck all that, I need me some chrome. But hey, what the fuck do I know? I'm screaming at the clouds more everyday. And I don't have the skrill to go out and buy a G-Wagon. No, I'll happily mob my 3rd gen 4Runner with a shit eatin' grin on my face.

We have 3 cars:
Mrs Nacho drives a 2021 Volvo XC60. It’s their “midsize” SUV but it’s pretty fucking small.
I drive a 2023 Ford F150 hybrid not because I set out to buy a hybrid but because the only F150 I could find last year that met all my criteria was a hybrid. My initial look was at a 2024 Tundra but the extra $25k and part of the design had me go back to a Ford.
My all American classic is a 1984 Jeep CJ7. I came close to putting it up for sale last year but thought better of it and now plan to keep it until I’m 80 at which point it gets offered to the Nacho offspring.

Rather than buy newer cars that run like older cars, I’d rather just keep my older cars, that, let’s face it, run like shit. But at least it has 5 ashtrays. So there’s that.
