The carefully-worded answer was that it was a "non-student adult". There are rumors out there that it was indeed a recruit.
 
Here are my problems with this:

1. Eugene isn't serious about football. A coach that makes over half a million a year driving a little tipsy means nothing. Sure, fuck with the program for a
misdemeanor and $10k. Not serious.

2. Why does a guy making over half a million driving anywhere? Get a $20 Uber and do whatever you want whenever you want.

3. A DUI isn't a big deal and the social stigma now is fucking retarded. Alcohol is legal and bars have parking lots. Just because terribly ran local governments drove the fine 600% over the last decade doesn't make it more wrong all of a sudden. It's a money grab and employment for the way too many lawyers we pump our every year. A 19 year old woman taking selfies for Snapchat doing 75 on the freeway is a million times more deadly than a grown man driving with a .06.

Oh, he's also the TE coach. Who gives a shit?
