Newton Misses Opening Husky Spring Practice

He look pretty pedestrian last year in limited action. Seems like a guy who's about to be passed up by 3 dudes at least (Davis, Sunday, Adams).

He doesn't want to block. He's a good back but he runs straight up and his most memorable game was his performance before injury in that soul crushing 2019 Stanford game.

I dunno, he's pretty good but if he won't play ball we have other options.

If we don't like backs like that why did we recruit Jay'von Sunday?

Because our rb coach calls himself "The Stable" and is more interested in getting spots on HBO than recruiting program changing backs? (Sorry Gaskin, NOT talking about ye)

Newton was great when he needed to get 1 yard. Other than that, he has been pretty mediocre thus far

Newton is great at looking like he's running furiously. He's not so great at overpowering tacklers or getting yards the other guys don't get.
