What's funny about this situation is that Mike Leach has 3 zero-tolerance rules at Wazzu and if anyone breaks one, they're off the team. Already, a number of kids have been kicked off the team since he arrived. For those not familiar with them, here is a list from:http://sportspressnw.com/2135907/2012/cougars-new-pirate-leader-runs-a-tight-ship

"Leach has a trio of no-tolerance tenets that, if broken, will get a player kicked off the football team:

1. No hitting women.

2. No illegal drug use.

3. No stealing.

Second chances are unavailable.
No questions will be asked."
You can tell Leach is desperate when he's having to circumnavigate his own zero-tolerance policy to get a recruit, especially when he doesn't give his own players second chances. But this kid?

"We spoke about it, and basically Coach Leach told me he's all about giving people second chances," Martin said.

It must be great being a cuog.

Leach has a law degree so he's all about technicalities. Technically speaking, Martin wasn't on the team when he stole so if he wasn't on the team, how can he violate a team rule?

Kinda similar to the Josh Shirley incident except he was already at UCLA instead of this guy being in the spring semester of his junior year of high school.

No worse than Bull Moos promising to build a new baseball clubhouse, not doing it, the coach complains to the press after several years of listening to BullMooShit and Bull Moos fires the coach the next day.
