Hell, bunch of homeboys sing around these parts. Props for Drive by Truckers, even though they string a electric guitar in there.

Difference in there and here, bunch of screaming, unintelligible shit vs music related to to the region....here may be songs related to sad, beer drinking, love, and ripping mud and rivers.
That “formulaic” is not formulated for an unseen alien force, it’s home. It’s real. Folks down here sing about here. Unlike there. I know, I know, incomprehensible for simpletons. Is what it is.
I keep posting down home music, old and new.....Old Johnny Cash or modern day Jason Aldean, but minus the instruments, all is down home .....sweet tea, beer, mudding, fishing, hunting, dirt roads, loves, name it.
It not British shit(yankeeee) and bunch of incomprehensible screaming(that I’ve seen y’all post, good God). That’s country. Not WA country.

Rock and roll different and good, too. Different animal though. Don’t be hating on The same message(country, old or new, folks still sing relevance to here) with slightly different instruments or ya not a fan of music.

True. And it’s different. Times change. Messages has all been same though. Sing about here. Past. Present. Don’t matter. Sucks y’all don’t have same wrap around with regional homers. We go same way with football. It’s all relevant. Think about it.
Times do change. Country got stale and boring. The “new” country songs are all the same. Jason Aldean puts me to sleep.
She’s pretty easy on the eyes. I will give her that.
I wish @GrundleStiltzkin that Neko would have focused entirely on country. She’s brilliant this way.

Ive always been more of a Patty Griffin fan than Neko Case. Its not really “new” country but Ryan Adams Cold Roses record is one of the best ever made. Peak junkie Ryan Adams was unbelievable.

In all honesty I think Ryan Adams and Paul Simon are the best singer-songwriters the USA has produced. Townes is in the convo.
He’s a god damned genius. Writes better country than the vapid top 40 new country bros.

Steve Earl has been around since the 80’s but he’s still making kick ass records. His record of all Townes covers is terrific. Saw him play at Easy St Records (RIP) in lower QA about 10 yrs ago.
