Not only do they roll over and not file any lawsuits claiming the Pac is dead thereby voiding the t/c of the conf by-laws where their risk would be minimal in legal fees versus a) winning 1/12 judgement (worth 10-12 million) best case scenario or b) more than likely some type of settlement worth far more than court costs vs the Cougs/Beavs.

Then the 10 schools DOUBLE DOWN by agreeing to pay the PAC2 6 million each (60 million total between them) over the next 2 years when there was no legal reason why you had to.

I guess UW must have more than enough cash to play in the NIL world and pay off the debt on stadium that they have only been paying interest on b/c of covid and how much money they don't have. Good to know when we take in half of what Rutgers and Maryland each do the next 7 years the 6 million is just a rounding error/chump change.

But the conference isn't dead because of the bullshit 2 year grace period.

They played the only card they could and frankly, all of the schools should share in paying what they need to to get rid of the Pac 12 Network and be done with that forever, and be done with the cougs forever besides the Apple Cup series. The P12N as it currently is would be dead even if they would ha e stayed together.

Where I wish UW would have some more balls is to tell the state schools that they can fuck off about playoff money. Only 2 schools ever made the playoffs the other 10 limp dick's don't deserve any of that.

The "We're taking half of what Maryland and Rutgers are getting" is a dumb and lazy critique. As pathetic as a lot of the B1G schools are, their vote was still needed. UW and Oregon are long term prized gets and will get theirs. The SC/UCLA shit is completely separate because of their market.
