I'm thinking Rhule and his agent strong armed them simply with how many jobs are going to be open and they decided it was better to not risk things getting nuked. I'm guessing UW might be in a similar situation right now.
One of the most depressing things I've ever heard was Joey and me were on a catamaran in Hawaii summer 2024 and we heard a lady from Nebraska chatting with people and she said word for word "I guess we're hoping Matt Rhule is gonna bring us back to the promised land."
He's no Tom Osbourne. I was wondering if he was fired from the Black Panthers and yes he was, with a shining record of 11-27. It's not all his fault, that owner is awful.

Nebraska is the one 6-2 P4 team that might have looked worse getting there than UW.
