Maybe it will go back to the old system and less money if/when the courts/legislatures force the NCAA to give all the money to the "student" athletes.

Free agency has killed college football way more than a playoff could, so I don't give a fuck. It's better for the players, I guess, but if I wanted to watch a bunch of one-year rental athletes compete against each other, I'd watch the NFL.
