Wemby is an unfair unicorn. He can shoot 3’s but why? He should just stay within 5 feet of the basket, shoot 75% and score at will. Shooting 40% from 3 is analytically a bad shot for him if he can hit above 60% from 2 which he should be able to do easily.

I always thought it was odd he went into coaching. I guess it’s possible he lost a lot of his money gambling and had an addiction, seems plausible now this was an angle to him getting into coaching.

As for Victor, he’s going to lean into his length and away from taking 9 3s a game. He’s going to win some chips for sure with a decent team around him now that pop id retired. Only thing that can side track him is injuries and his feet, they plague many big men. Team USA will struggle to win gold in the Olympics for the next 2 or 3.

Victor is probably the best player in the league right now, but a guy that tall and gangly will very likely get injured. It’s going to be hard to him to stay healthy. Every time he goes to the ground I would be worried about him getting up if I were a Spurs fan.

The Spurs have a great young core with Wemby, Castle, and Harper. Exciting team for sure.
 
Although I don’t watch the nba I forgot they had a couple other young talent or rookie of the year possibly. Only follow on the espn.app
Victor would most definitely be the number one pick as the player in the league you would want to start your team with but in no way is he the top player. The Joker and the Greek Freak are better bigs as of today and there isn’t an argument imo. The Thunder guy and skinny Luka are in the argument. By the end of the season Vic might have an argument especially if they manage to get to the finals, he needs more tim.

Oh damn, don’t forget Bronny

If they called SGA for chicken winging every player defending him on every mid range jumper he takes to draw fouls or create separation, he’d foul out by halftime every game. It’s not as annoying as when James Hardin would slam his body into defenders when he’d shoot to draw a foul, but it’s close.

Wemby is a monster on defense. Nobody can get a shot off when he’s around them. I think this is the year he becomes the best player in the league. He’s better than Giannis right now. It’s a hard call with Jokic.

It’s always hard to have a definitive best because of the positions and playing styles, but if he stays relatively healthy, he’s an easy Hall of Famer.

Last night was my first game watching them this season.
Not a lot of drastic changes and why change out anyone except Chauncey and Simons? They have a great young core, 2-way players that care, retained everyone they wanted and didn't give up much to get a 2 time NBA champion.
Play-in series is my guess. Going to be fun when everything gets going in May.
 
Portland is a playoff team as long as Holiday and Avdija stay healthy.
OKC's current window is like if you just made a giant wall of glass and then gave them a battering ram.
Just endless depth and all of it plays defense like a motherfucker while getting the benefit of the doubt as they hack away without a care in the fucking world.
