He's basically got all the benefits of Romar plus he can actually coach.

I bet he could salvage the recruiting class everyone is so fearful of losing. At the very least he'll keep the in state guys, which includes Murray the most important guy.
 
But I'm hearing UW would lose all its 206 recruiting inroads if it ever shitcanned Romar.
 
I'm hearing there is a line around the block of ADs/ owners who will fight to grab Romar the minute he's no longer coach at UW
 
Please tell me someone high up in the booster realm is pushing for that? Shit, had i won powerball last week I would have donated 2 million on the spot if you get Nate as coach and light romar's couch on fire

But I was referring to how Nate has all the things doog love about Romar: great connections to the local area for recruiting, former players love him (Roy), allegedly a person of great character, played in the NBA, should be able to keep next year's class in place, etc.

In a moment of honesty almost all the Romar lickers would tell you they'd take Nate over him. And almost all the Romar haters would obviously like him. Most would love him.

Home run hire would even come with lots of FREE PUB!

Is Nate a good coach though, thought he got run out of Portland for being mediocre which is what we're all criticizing Romar for.

I'll readily admit I haven't studied it out in hoops terms, but I'm assuming just like in football mediocre in the pros = above average in college.

Apart from that, I just can't imagine Nate's as poor X's and O's as Romar is. IIRC when he was with the Sonics he was pretty defensively minded, which I like.

Nate was a shit coach. His offense was boring as fuck and he's never develop anyone which is why Nic Batum is still timid and worthless.

I would love to see him at UW.
