Washington is recruiting Murao as a center and the talented lineman took his first official visit of the year to see the Huskies back in early June.
āI loved it there,ā Murao said. āThat was my third time visiting the school so Iām already really familiar with it and have a great comfort level there.I think the difference with the official visit was seeing more of the campus and spending more time with the players and coaches.
āI have a great relationship with the coaching staff and really like coach Huff (OL coach) a lot. I got to ride in coach Petersenās boat and that was a cool experience and I love the city of Seattle. I like it more then Los Angeles to be honest and I just fit in really well with the players on the team.
"Henry Bainivalu was my host and he was great to be around and all the players were cool with me. I enjoyed being around the other recruits like Roger Rosengarten and Sam Adams as well so it was a great time for me and the visit definitely exceeded expectations. I have very high interest in Washington right now."
Murao said he has no other official visits scheduled at this time but is hoping to take all five of his trips during the fall.
āI know Iāll visit UCLA and USC for sure,ā Murao said. āI talk with coach Frye (OL coach) at UCLA all the time and we have a great relationship. UCLA is still up there for me and Iām excited to watch them during the season. I havenāt been over there since the Spring Game but I have been up there a ton already.
āWith USC, I talk with coach Drevno (OL coach) and Viane Talamaivao, who Iāve known for a long time. I have a lot of my former teammates at USC and Iām looking forward to seeing how they look this season as well. I donāt have any dates for either school but theyāll probably be towards the end of the season or after.ā
As for his final two trips, Murao mentioned LSU and Texas A&M as schools he would like to visit.
āI would love to visit those schools on a game weekend so I can see the atmosphere and whatās itās like on game day,ā Murao said. āAs for a decision timeframe, Iām thinking sometime after our season but before the All-American Bowl. I'm in no hurry but don't plan to drag it out either so when I feel good about my decision, I'll go ahead and commit."
