I’d ask Hornblower what his post about me “gaslighting” means, since I stated nothing of the sort, but he doesn’t know enough to make it worthwhile.

anyone who’s raised children will tell you that you absolutely have to enforce bedtime. The wheels come off if you don’t…and they come off fast.

Any time we got a new babysitter they would tell us when we got home, "Wow, when I told your kids to go to bed, they went to bed!" Common sense was already gone in our neighborhood in the 1990s.

Those parents are not very intelligent and most likely are very lazy. Typically, those people like to think of themselves as their kid's friend rather than as their parent.

At the risk of generalizing (I actually don't care), they always look like they're on WIC and are at least three months ahead on their meals. Their apartments also probably smell of cheap weed.
