I found the book oddly uncompelling. Dunno how they'll make the movie what the book wasn't, especially since it's so rare that the movie turns out to be better than the book.
It will be like a horse race movie with heart tugging music and overcoming drama and evil Nazis. You can make drama it up and they will

I just figure that they'll tell a story that's already been told so many times over.
As for uncompelling, there was just a sense of inevitability to the whole book that yeah, OK, they win here, then they win there, they have trouble finding their magical stroke, they win again, win in Berlin yippee. My favorite parts of the book were the bits about Pocock and boat innovation.
