Cleverly marketed, the name "USAID" would have most of the citizens that fund the agency believe it is a humanitarian mission, like the Peace Corps on steroids. It is 100% not that.
Ostensibly, it exists to further the geopolitical aspirations of the United States by paying to undermine State actors who are not giving "us" what "we" want (I am sure there exists a more generous word than undermine…).
Because of that, USAID doesn't care about what happens to the population of the country it is funding i.e. foment revolution/coup/riot/social disobedience.
But, if you are a red-blooded American, it's all for a good cause(?).

Brosef, what I said was intentionally not a politically charged statement. Every administration has used USAID. I am categorically not saying JFK started it and only Obama and Biden have used it. All administrations have funded and used it for 60 years. Trump obviously let is do it's thing from 2016-2020.
That being said, most citizens didn't even know this agency existed - and if they saw the name they assumed we were air-dropping grains of rice.
The USAID budget was 43 billion. For context, the USAF budget is 216 billion. Just have a think about that.
Also, it's against the law to shoot them.
