Just stumbled upon this. I interviewed Brandon in a dimly-lit, otherwise empty Hec Ed Pavillion, the day before Thanksgiving 2005. The interview was like an hour and half, and in looking back I think I was a bit self-absorbed to stretch it that long. Because his stomach kept growling from hunger. But I did ask him a couple times if he was doing okay, and he said, "Yes, I want to make sure you get what you need for the article." Cool dude and gracious.

Love B Roy. Absolute legend.

One of Fetters' best efforts.

I was about to say it reminded me of some technically gifted writing I've seen with Fetters' name on it. I assume some fucko plagiarism'd his shit.

It's sad to see how far Derek Johnson has fallen.

Roy was special. Last time I cared and thought about UW basketball

Two good knees and Brandon is a 15 year pro. The kind of guy you want on a championship team and to marry your son

His basketball knowledge was top 1%

Did you really coin the phrase "like the Oregon State game" back in 2006 ? Its a good (and Looooong) article but I quit reading at that point.

Found one error. Nate Robinson dunk v Arizona was not a put back dunk but an alley oop from Curtis Allen.

I was there.

Nate had a put back dunk at Rainier Beach that was legend

He almost had one at the state tournament where he attempted to jump over the guy, and if it goes down, would easily by my favorite of his. Despite missing and getting a charge call, it's still in my top 10.

In the Tacoma Dome. I was there! I’m assuming you were too.
