If someone who is passionate about recruiting wishes to take it over, please send me a PM. You would run the board in the same manner as Yella does with ye olde Shoppe with your name on the marquee. I have less than zero interest in recruiting (Nothing's changed with me. FRANNY).
If the board doesn't pick up one way or another in the coming months I will be tempted to merge it with the main board next August.

  1. Spend a bunch of time on X following recruits and worse yet following all the softshell doogs that fled this place but keep up and post about specific recruiting situations all the time.
  2. Probably be on either the insider bullshit Discord channel or whatever Kim's super secret circle jerk chat is. You don't have to be the one making the bullshit up, but you have to be able to forward it on and pretend like it isn't just made up bullshit. Some people currently do that here with Dawgman.
  3. You have to watch all the recruiting videos so that you can sit and say shit like, "I've never seen film like this 2 star Estacada linebacker's."

I treat recruiting like I treat TOF. Some times I love it and can’t get enough and other times I wish it was dead and the sight of it makes me sick.

Don't blame you, it's a mess now, and many will just cry, and transfer, or think about transferring, because some dorky video game offered them NIL cash. The sport is a rudderless mess, and recruiting is part of it. While it was semi enjoyable to track it in the 2010s when it was more cut and dried, watching Huddle or whatever and following 17 year old boys on social media is at best weird.
 
What is recruiting in THIS economy?
It probably should be more of a “roster management” or “player acquisition” board

I took the title against my better judgement. There was a time when I would've enjoyed it and done a good job. I'm just not into it anymore. I thought maybe I'd get swept up in the excitement, but there really isn't any. I'm not sure it would've made any difference anyways.
So, @DerekJohnson can go ahead and revoke my mod privileges and rename the board whenever he feels like. I suggest that one of you guys hit him up and take over. Recruiting is different now and not real interesting IMO, but it's worthy of a board and a moderator who cares enough to keep the traffic and info flowing.

My two cents:
It might be better just focusing on NW high school recruiting (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana)
That might be easier to manage.
