This movie was the beginning of my hatred for Monty. Patton then added to it. Reading the Liberation trilogy solidified it.
I watched Patton a couple of months ago for the first time since the 70's
Thought it held up well. It was fair. If you thought the slap was OK that was there. If you thought he wasn't winning the right way that was there.
Monty and the US armchair generals in DC were lucky to have Patton. Its no surprise that we are 1-1-3 since then*

I like Grenada because the Cubans were building an airfield with 10,000 foot runway that could only be used for military airplanes.
After we curb stomped them, we helped finish the runway to increase their tourist capabilities.
We won 1000-3.
CSB - a guy that worked for me was in a re-entry program run by the government and big corporations. This guy was ex-special forces, he showed me some photos of him in his prime with armaments that gave me a boner they were so cool. He told me about laying in the sand in Iraq about 15 feet from enemy soldiers and they didn't even see him. but I digress, back on track. He said he was in Grenada for 3 months before we escalated things. He was giving reports from some secret location on the island.
