Most melancholy song ever?

Nine inch nails - Hurt

When Johnny Cash covers your song as his farewell track, you know you've reached the depths of demoralization.

"South Tacoma Way" is now on my iPod.

In fact, I played it the other day as I drove down Juanita-Woodinville Way.

Neko is amazing through the Fox Confessor album. Since then she's gotten a little self indulgent, but still some gems mixed in.

More dismal than melancholy, written about the Green River Killer.

This @chuck is one of the most melancholic albums ever.

For sure. Gotta be in the right mood to sit through it. I dont think I'd try if I was a person prone to depression.

I love how he teases a little light as he looks out on peaceful lands, and then shatters the notion with his description of humanity..."an ocean of shaking hands that grab at the sky." The images that conjures are unpleasant, to put it mildly.

Pretty fucking depressing - a song about your kid fall out a window to his death....

This one always makes me want to put a snub nose in my mouth. Not that the Throbber is suicidal....it's just such a fucking downer.

I thought about Tears In Heaven. Chinsanely emotional song.

I always thought Scarborough Fair was a tedious song about going to the county fair
