I don't know where to put this but reading the Lindy's B1G Preview for this year, they rated Michigan State and Boston College's head coaching hires above UW's
Oregon State's is almost rated as high too. Maybe we should've hired Trent Bray instead.

UW used to only have a good relationship with Phil Steele. I think that ship has sailed now as well

I think we'll find out more about Smith at Michigan State. He could have won 5-9 games in Corvallis in the Pac-12 for all of eternity and been lauded. There's potential to do more at Michigan State but the bar is higher and the competition is stiff.
Boston College might be an underrated job. If you're O'Brien, it's home. You can cash millions winning 5-7 games a year and if you win 9-10 some desperate blue blood will hire you.
Bray was about the only choice for a hick school without a conference.

We have a better team now and I think he picked four or five wins this year. Better quarterback at minimum.
