If his wife Julie doesn't like living in Texas and yearns to return to the Pacific Northwest, Kellen could easily take the UW job with the goal of his next move being to a head coaching position.

By this argument his best bet is going down to FCS where he can be a HC right now.

There are a lot of factors in play besides just where he has the most responsibility.

Personally I’d rather have autonomy over a talented PAC 12 offense than sit around the next several years watching McCarthy shove BBQ it his fat fetters face while running his shitty offense that was entirely dependent on Aaron Rodgers’ wizardry to work. Plus I don’t think the money would be much different at all. I don’t think we? Have a bad chance of landing him at all, although I’m getting ready for Helfrich szn.

I don’t know how much we will offer, but we could offer well over 1 million and still not increase our assistant coaches salary pool from last year, which I think we should increase anyway. Jimmy was making like 1.5, now making 3, but we got rid of Pete’s 4.5 million. We do owe Bush 800k though for next year minus whatever he got for his new gig. Only having 1 DC and not 2 is big from a salary standpoint.
