Mitchell Agude - DE - Transfer from UCLA

A pac 12 school reportedly offered him $60k in NIL deal to transfer

Spoiler

It wasn't us

Very not comforting if true. This guy is a 2nd team all conference guy in a down year at best. Nice roster plug for one year but makes me wonder how much said program offers big time recruits and transfers if they will give this guy that much.

You make $60k seem like a lot of money. Oregon spends triple that on a weekly jersey change.

$60k to a kid that has never seen that kind of money though feels like a lot

Probably to the kid, but to most universities, it's like you and I buying a sandwich.

Oregon spends? No. Nike spends.

Hopefully our crack NIL team has prepared a great presentation on how he can become financially secure in his golden years by starting to invest in a Roth IRA

DOZENS of dollars headed your way just for chatting up Softy

So hard to know how serious UW is with signing any player without knowing what the NIL options are but I have a feeling this one is an uphill battle.

He's going to Oregon, Miami, and Tennesse for his other three visits. Our only hope is that someone convinces him that NIL money isn't that important

The good news is that money is losing it's value on a daily basis in this economy.

The guy had 2.5 sacks for UCLA last year. I’ll take him but he doesn’t seem tk be anything special.

Guys that get 2.5 sacks sure as hell aren’t getting 60k to play somewhere. Some of the rumors and exaggeration of NIL’s impact are laughable.

According to the latest recruiting blog on dawgman, Agude "was upfront with UW coaches that NIL money was the most important factor for his school choice"

I would guess that we are not in this one

Karen Ramming does it the right way.

At Ramming speed.

I hate NIL. Have I mentioned that? Fringe or unproven players looking to transfer are expecting schools to have bidding wars for them. Fuck them. Fuck him.
