Actually, he is the one trying to shut up the opposition by claiming it is some liberal conspiracy... as if being liberal is some crime and you'd have to be stupid to agree with them.

He is too stupid to understand it isn't just liberals that realize the name is racist, and some of the most well known advocates for changing the name, are conservatives.

Either this, or he is just using this as a stunt to try and be relevant again. But somebody else here is convinced that can't the case...

We label almost every political issue as liberal or conservative despite understanding that there's always a few liberals supporting primarily conservative causes and a few conservatives supporting primarily liberal causes. Obviously, you think this is wrong, and you don't want that dirty liberal label attached to your upright cause.

Simultaneously, you have no problem labeling someone who opposes your cause a racist, because you know, no one could see things differently without being racist.

I actually brought this up to a friend who has whined in emails about Redskins for years. Look at the fighting leprachaun logo. You could not come up with something more derogatory unless you put a potato and a bottle of Jameson in his hand. Noone. Says. Shit...and noone ever will. His response was always, "Well that's different. Genocide. Indians don't know what's good for them due to white man, so ENLIGHTENED liberal whites like me can stick up for them over important issues like a football team's nickname."
