I’d be down on my knees blowing Trump if he cut the $2 trillion deficit to $0 and deported 10m illegals.
There’s gonna be short term pain with those policies for sure. But the payoff is crazy compared to that. This is the kind of move a president should make in his second term but he isn’t. So he doesn’t deserve to be blown.

I have no illusions that we’ll ever get to zero deficit, and math wise you probably don’t want to get all the way there anyways. 2-3% of GDP is the sweet spot, so that means you need to be at no more than $1 trillion or so.
It’s all self fulfilling in the sense that if you cut your deficit through spending, then you need to issue less new bonds to replace the ones that mature, which cuts down the issuance interest rate (in theory) which then cuts down your interest expense which further shrinks the deficit. Or the opposite happens and you have debt spiral like we have developing now.
Rational thoughts don’t work with irrational people.
Trump won three elections on the issues. He didn't win by being nice and seeking approval from the MSM which hates him. Buck up and keep the issues in the face of the soccer moms and the legal Hispanics and blacks. It is clear that flooding the nation with illegal criminals is still priority number one with the insane left. Trying to win over the dead voters Goode and Pretti is a fool's errand.
