Where did you get the 5.2%? I used to get that number from the Times but when the cases and deaths began to fall they stopped posting confirmed cases, hence they stopped posting the positive rate%. It topped at like 6.1% and then*poof* gone just when the number should have started to fall. It's like they don't want good news to spread or something. Also, a 2% goal is fucking ridiculous. The state has never been close to that number and likely won't be until the virus goes away on its own or until the state is instructed to stop giving a fuck.

Has anyone asked why % positive of tests over a week is a "goal" when testing isn't randomized or normalized across the population?

Do people really not understand that % positive is a reflection of testing strategy and targeting, not of viral prevalence?

Yep, if you look at the daily numbers, hovering around 4% over the last couple of weeks.

I just did the simple math.

Shows testing has basically remained high, roughly 200% higher than peak of covid panic, and numbers of positive cases dropping.

I have fren who is epidemiologist for state who has stated as such. Agreed it's ridiculous.

The way I read the testing metric at this point is, only 4% of the people who felt sick, was around a sick person or was told to get tested have COVID. That's pretty darn low.
 
Also, no deaths from heart problems induced by HCQ in the latest Belgian study which is what the anti-science leftards seized upon when alleging that Trump was encouraging unauthorized use of HCQ. Also the study was on patients already hospitalized. Also no zinc and antibiotics. Just solo HCQ. We know the best results are if the HCQ cocktail is administered early. It's like refusing to treat some person coming in for strep throat and telling them no treatment until they are hospitalized with rheumatic fever as a complication. Eventually, the massive malpractice of the American medical profession, starting with Fow Chee, regarding the treatment for the chicom crud will be written.
