Was at the zoo last week and saw one Asian mom and toddler wearing a mask and one black dude with his cloth mask hanging below his nose. Still waiting for the explanation for how large pores filter out much smaller virus particles. Anyone? Mello?
How do masks work outside but don't work in restaurants?

It's all theory. Masks do catch some vapors and particles, so the Droplet theory is sound.
Whether it's better overall to prevent the spread, or take the mask off, let it aerosolize and dilute, versus keeping the equivalent of a wet rag on your face, possibly loaded with virus particles, has not and cannot be proven, because nobody is wearing an air-tight or virus-tight mask.
These comparisons and questions could've been tested in labs 2 years ago, but never have been.
It's almost as if mask manufacturers are making huge profits and don't want to stop, so they benefit from the uncertainties.

I still see a fair amount of people wearing face diapers. At this point I usually don't even think about it, except when I know it's a SJW zealot who was screaming in favor of curtailing our rights.

It seems like they were dead set on a narrative and rules to calm the masses. Maybe it started out with good intentions, but it quickly unraveled, and there was awful leadership. When big tech silenced respected doctors and scientists early on, people with intelligence and actual critical thinking skills stopped taking it seriously.
Playbook was massaged and finalized a decade ago, they blew their wad when everyone wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully nobody goes along next time or ever again
