If this is true, I got nothing but respect for Petersen. However given all the work done by Ikaika highly doubt that is how it went down.

I hope it's not a confirmation bias thing... but I can see the argument that if Petermen wants mentally tough football players that this episode showing how this kid is a drama queen and easily influenced that he actually likes the other kids better, no matter what Marlon's talent is.

As much as it is bullshit him leaving if it was Pete telling him to fuck off good for him. Playing favorites and being lenient with certain players is sark shit. Just like losing Peters during the year was a big blow but it sent the correct message to the team.
 
At this stage in the game...Marlon's come around every year. It's the Petersen's that are few and far between.
