Marlon doesn't seem too excited, but he seems like a guy who gets talked into things which one of the reasons he is there.

Nansen is a piece of shit, and along with my previous rant on how shitty a S&C coach Ivan "shoulder and knee injury" is someone should also mention to Marlon's mom the fact Nansen was best friends with Sark, and as such he helped him continuously cheat on his wife which got him in trouble at UW and divorced, and he most likely knew about, helped enable, and covered for Sark's alcohol and drug addictions.

Parents usually like to know about the type of people they are sending their kids off to, esp when it's that far away from home.
